India's Largest hotel chain network company, but recently there are lots of lay off in January 2020 but in
September and December 2019 there were mass hiring by the company. And now those employees are wondering for another jobs. There are lots of problem in oyo and some of them are like.
1. If Any hotel is getting listed on oyo platform then their only motive is to earn something extra. example if they were earning Rs 100 before oyo then they want to earn at least Rs 101 after joining oyo. But in some states(like- Bihar, Punjab,etc) hotel owners are making loss after joining oyo because of very less foot fall through oyo and thus they are liable to pay commission from their walk in customer and thus their income reduced from Rs 100.
2. For showing No-show, hotel owners have to wait for next day which are reducing their occupancy because for the whole day they keep waiting for the oyo guests and due to which they don't allow walking guests because that room is already booked and it results in loss.
3. No relationship building with existing hotel partners, no grievances management on priority basis and thus most of hotel owners doesn't allow guest from oyo and due to which there is very bad word of mouth is spreading in market.
4. Very Less Floor price, If a hotel is selling rooms at Rs 2000 then i dont know that why oyo cant provide him rate around Rs 1400 of anything near that ( because commission of 30% on Rs 1400 will be Rs 420, while commission on Rs 800 will be Rs 240 only). Due to less price from oyo Hotels reputation is falling in market.
5. As a businessman if we want to make profit then our first priority should be making happy our business partner as well as customers. But in oyo everyone believes in making incentives only and no one cares about existing hotel partners but yes once those Hotels get churned out then they focus on those hotels so that they can earn incentive.
In various cities I observed that hotel owners are getting hardly 10-15 bookings in a month and thus they don't want to pay commission on their wakings because in that case they will be making loss. ( Suppose you sell that property in Rs 500 and the number of booking in a month is about 20 and your commission is 25% then your commission will be Rs 2500 and owner's earning will be Rs 7500. And there is walking of approx 100 Guests in a month at Rs 800 then his total revenue will be Rs 80000 and your commission will be Rs 20000 from their walking so ultimately they are making loss and thus they will be churned out after first month only)
so there is no need of targeting those cities from where you earn from owner's Pocket.

Oyo is a brand.
But the brand image is going into wrong way. People believes oyo As "सस्ता" hotel. There is very less Brand loyalties because everyone knows that there are chances that hotel will not allow to check in through Oyo.
suppose you are going for a family vacation in Goa and you have booked your room through oyo and you reaches at hotel reception and shows your booking then they replies that sorry we don't accept bookings from oyo.
Yes you have given many options after that but just feel the pain of that person who is at hotel reception.
Why not Every oyo people is focusing on Brand Loyalty, Positive word of mouth and positive reviews.
